This is because native videos keep people on\nFacebook for a longer period of time, instead of directing their attention away\ntowards a competitor\u2019s site. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So make sure you use Facebook&#8217;s native video\nif you want to get the best reach on their platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">TIP #2: BOOST YOUR FACEBOOK VIDEOS BY \u201cPAYING\nTO PLAY\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As more and more people over the years have\nstarted using the platform to grow their business, Facebook has adjusted their\nalgorithm to increasingly prioritise those users who pay to play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Therefore, if you want to get the most out of\nyour videos on Facebook, putting some money towards promoting them using paid\nads will give them a significant boost. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What we do here at Spiel is allocate a set\nbudget towards each video we post on Facebook \u2013 and you can do the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It doesn&#8217;t have to be a huge amount, as you\ncan choose whatever amount you feel comfortable with and over time scale up as\nyou start seeing the returns. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not only will you generate more followers and\nsignificantly grow the reach of your videos, but you\u2019ll actually end up\nspending less money than if you were to use text-based ads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">TIP #3: MAKE SURE YOUR THUMBNAIL IS VISUALLY\nATTRACTIVE<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s face it: Your viewers are going to be\nscrolling through their newsfeed at the speed of sound. Landscape videos, on the other hand, look small and are not easy\non the eyes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There\u2019s even hard data out there that backs this up. According to <a href=\"https:\/\/buffer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Buffer (opens in a new tab)\">Buffer<\/a>, the social media management platform, square videos get 80-100% more engagement and 35-35% higher video views compared to landscape videos, all while costing 7.5% less!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">TIP #7: EMBED YOUR FACEBOOK VIDEOS IN YOUR\nBLOG CONTENT TO INCREASE THEIR WATCH TIME<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Just before we get into this next tip, make\nsure you are following the first tip I mentioned earlier in the video to upload\nyour videos directly to Facebook as native videos. Otherwise, this tip won\u2019t\nwork!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After publishing your video content on\nFacebook, you can add the video to the relevant section of your website, or\ncreate a dedicated blog page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Doing this will increase the watch time of the video, and Facebook\u2019s algorithm will heavily \u201cfavour\u201d the video, thus boosting the video\u2019s reach on the platform. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To embed one of your Facebook videos to your\nwebsite, go to the video you would like to embed, and locate the upper-right\ncorner of the post. Click the drop-down menu and select \u201cEmbed\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Facebook will generate an HTML code for\nembedding the video on your website. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">TIP #8: USE HIGH-CONVERSION HEADLINES AND\nDESCRIPTIONS IN YOUR VIDEOS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are many ways to go about writing\npersuasive headlines and descriptions that will improve the performance of your\nvideos. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are some quick tips we\u2019ve personally\nfound to be effective for consistently writing high-conversion headlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Firstly, your headline and description should\naccurately explain to the viewer what your video is about, otherwise when they\nstart watching they will feel mislead. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Secondly, the headline and description must\nmake a targeted, unique promise. People need to know exactly how they will\nbenefit from watching your content or they simply won&#8217;t bother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thirdly, try using numbers in your headings\nand descriptions as they are known to increase click through rates. When adding\nnumbers, another handy tip to remember is that in general odd numbers such as\n1,3,5,7 tend to perform better than even numbers such as 2,4,6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And finally, remember to keep testing your\nheadlines and descriptions to discover what works best for you, as no two\nsituations are the same and the only way you can really be sure what works best\nfor you is by testing different things in real time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">TIP #9: NEVER FORGET THE CALL-TO-ACTION AT THE\nEND OF YOUR VIDEO<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Last but most certainly not least, the\ncall-to-action (CTA) is the final piece that turns your Facebook video from a\nmarketing dud into a sales-generating stud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you\u2019ve given your viewers the information\nthey need, it is important that you tell them what you would like them to do\nnext if your video has a specific objective. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your call to action should be easy to\nunderstand and the viewer should know exactly how they will personally benefit\nfrom taking your suggested action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And whether or not your video has a specific\nobjective, in each of your Facebook videos you should ask the viewer to like,\nshare, comment and follow you if they enjoyed your content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, make sure you verbally and visually\nannounce your CTA.
