Don&#8217;t overcomplicate\nthem or drag them out too long. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Make sure your call to actions are easily actionable\nand don&#8217;t involve any unnecessary steps which will lower the number of people\nthat will follow your instruction. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, if your video&#8217;s call to action is to\ndownload your free report, try to make sure the report is readily available\nnext to your video instead of the viewer having to visit a different page on\nyour website to get it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And make sure your call to action message itself is short\nand easy to understand. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After watching your video, your viewers will be ready\nto move on and if you don&#8217;t get to the point quickly, they&#8217;ll leave before\nhearing you out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">TIP 2: EXPLAIN THE BENEFIT<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want people to take action, you need to let\nthem know what&#8217;s in it for them. If they can&#8217;t see the benefit, they won&#8217;t take\naction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maybe\nyou want them to buy your product, or subscribe to your newsletter, or make you\ntheir overlord. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So\nyou could say something like\u2014\u2018If you need an amazing dictator to help you run\nyour life, click below to make me your overlord today.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Notice\nhow the Call to Action doesn\u2019t just tell viewers exactly what would happen when\nthey click the button, but also explains to them the <em>benefit <\/em>they would get from taking action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On a more serious note, compare the following two call\nto actions, one which includes a benefit and one which doesn&#8217;t:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sign Up Now&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>or <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sign Up Now and Get 25% of Your First Purchase!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Which call to action motivates you more?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">TIP\n3: ADD TIME-SENSITIVE WORDS TO YOUR CTA<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Subscribe\nNow, Get Instant Access, Upgrade Today. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We&#8217;ve\nall heard words such as now, today, and instant in hundreds of videos, and\nthere\u2019s a reason for that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Time-sensitive\nwords encourage quick action and promise instant gratification to the viewer,\nmaking it much more likely that they\u2019ll do what the CTA says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One\nparticularly useful tip to boost your conversions is to use time-sensitive CTAs\nwhich imply that your offer is available for a limited time period only. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FOMO\nis real guys, and no one wants to miss out on a good deal or discount. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To\nillustrate this point, compare the following two Call to Actions and see which\none you think creates a greater sense of urgency. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8216;Get\nyour free ticket&#8217;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Or:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8216;Get\nyour free ticket now &#8211; Only 25 remaining&#8217;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Which one do you think will motivate people more to\ntake action?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">TIP\n4: ADD VISUALS &nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When\nmentioning your call to action in your videos, try to also show the viewer what\nyou want them to do visually to add extra emphasis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An\nexample of this can be seen earlier in this video when I asked you to subscribe\nto our channel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When\nI said this, you may recall a screenshot of this action appeared on the screen.\nBy re-enforcing things both visually and verbally like this at the same time,\nyou will notice a better response from your viewers to your call to actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">TIP\n5: MAKE YOUR CTA SPECIFIC<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The\ninternet is plastered with CTAs like Buy Now, Click Here, Sign Up, and so on.\nThese CTAs are generic and heard so often that they tend to make people tune\nout. To avoid this happening to you, you should aim to make your CTA&#8217;s as\nspecific as possible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For\nexample, if someone wishes to become a driver for thecompany Lyft and\ngoes to their landing page, their CTA doesn\u2019t just say \u2018Sign Up\u2019. It says\n\u2018Apply to Drive\u2019. It\u2019s clear, specific, and not the typical thing people are\nused to hearing that can make them easily switch off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">TIP\n6: KEEP THE PRESENTATION OF YOUR CTA UPBEAT AND ENTHUSIASTIC<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A\npositive, enthusiastic presentation of your Call to Action in your videos will\ngenerate a higher conversion rate than a more muted or passive one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So\nwhen mentioning your call to actions in your videos, make sure you appear\nupbeat and enthusiastic. This will better motivate your viewers to take action\nas your amazing positive energy rubs off on them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">TIP\n7: KNOW WHERE TO PLACE YOUR CTA&#8217;S<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s\nsay you create a video that explains the features and benefits of your product.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If\nnear the very start of your video you include a call to action like \u2018Click\nBelow to Purchase\u2019 it&#8217;s unlikely to be effective. This is because the viewer isn&#8217;t\nyet convinced to buy your product. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\npoint here is that you shouldn&#8217;t present your CTA until your audience\nunderstands the benefit of proceeding with your suggestion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now\nthis doesn&#8217;t mean that you should always place the CTA towards the end of your\nvideo but rather that you should include it once your audience is ready to take\naction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An\nexception to this rule is asking people to like, share and subscribe to your social\nmedia videos, which you can add earlier on in your videos if you prefer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>People\nare used to seeing these call to actions relatively early on in videos on\nYouTube for example\u2026 and it works!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">BONUS\nTIP: A\/B TEST TO FIND OUT WHAT CTA&#8217;s WORK BEST FOR YOU<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You\ncan come up with any number of CTAs to try out, but you won&#8217;t actually know\nwhich one will work best until you test and compare them in real time. And\nthat\u2019s the purpose of A\/B testing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nidea is simple. You make two versions of your video, with two different CTAs.\nWhen visitors arrive at your page, half of them are shown the first video and\nthe other half the second.
