A personalised\nvideo is any video content that is made specifically for an individual viewer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That could be something as simple as\nstarting your video off with a personal greeting to your customer like \u201cHi\nDave!\u201d or as complex as tailoring your videos to each customer\u2019s individual\npurchase history, interests, and shopping behaviour. Something more along the\nlines of \u201cHi Dave! How did you like your recent order of\npaleo-vegan-keto-gluten-free snickerdoodles?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While it sounds like it would be a lot of\nwork to create such personalised videos, the latest video tools have made it\neasy to create personalised videos. Making the extra effort to include your customer\u2019s names,\nrecent purchases, or interests may not seem like much, but it can go a long\nway. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, now that you\u2019ve got all these ideas and\npossibilities buzzing around in your head, you\u2019re probably wondering: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>* How can I create personalised\nvideos? *<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To make polished, personalised videos, you\nwill first need to get the right tool to produce them. Different personalised\nvideo tools serve different purposes, so there isn\u2019t a one-size-fits-all\nsolution \u2014 some are geared towards product demos, personal introductions, and\nthe like, while others are focused on automated personalization. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To make things a bit easier for you, I\u2019m\ngoing to let you in on our favorite tools at present for each use case. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>* Online Video Recorders *<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s start with online video recorders\nlike Loom, Wistia\u2019s Soapbox, and Vidyard Govideo. These three tools are Chrome\nextensions that let you record yourself <em>and<\/em>\nyour screen, either at the same time or separately, which makes them perfect\nfor sales and product demos<s>.<\/s><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To be totally honest, there isn\u2019t <em>that<\/em> much difference between the three\nof them, so don\u2019t stress too much about choosing the right one \u2014 you really\ncan\u2019t go wrong. If you\u2019re already using Wistia\nor Vidyard for your video hosting, just go with the one that gives you full\naccess to analytics at a price point you feel comfortable with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What\u2019s Spiel\u2019s take on them? Personally, we\nthink Soapbox excels at video editing and customization. It\u2019s super easy to\nzoom in, switch between the fullscreen and side-by-side views, and even trim\ndown your video after you\u2019ve recorded it, but you have to pay for access to\ntheir analytics, whereas Vidyard gives you them for free. Vidyard also has\nbetter integration with Hubspot and other CRMs, so it edges out over Soapbox in\nthat regard. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, let&#8217;s move\nonto our favorite part: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>* Automated Personalised Videos\n*<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Tools like Rocketium, Promo, and Biteable\nuse the wonders of automation and modern technology to make creating\npromotional videos as easy clicking a few buttons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All three of these tools make video\ncreation a snap: just pick a template, drag in your own media or some of their\nstock media files, and add in the text you want.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rocketium, however, takes things one step\nfurther as far as personalization is concerned: you can specify when and how\nyou want to personalize your video, and let the app do all the heavy lifting\nfor you by pulling your customers\u2019 information from a spreadsheet or CSV and\nadding it in automatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Honestly, the videos these apps can churn\nout look pretty great. You can either use their included media library or add\nin photos and videos of your own. Adding motion graphics is quite effortless,\nand you can even add in your own voiceovers and captions if you like. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It can be hard to choose between them, but we\u2019d\npersonally recommend Rocketium simply because it has a much larger media\nlibrary and there are more customization options available. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Personalised videos are going to become\nvery common place in most marketing campaigns. How it will develop, though, is\nopen to a world of possibility. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>*The future of Personalised\nVideos: Using Machine Learning *<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u2018customer journey\u2019 has evolved. The\none-size-fits-all funnel is fast becoming outdated as every customer has their\nown unique personal circumstances, needs, preferences and behaviours. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Machine learning is being is being\nincreasingly used to pull together customer data in order to serve up personalised\nvideos that go way beyond simply adding a name. You\u2019ll soon see videos in your\ninbox that will inform you that the dress you looked at last week is now half price, or what tools\nyou\u2019ll need to manage the stormy weather in your area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This technology is still in its early\nstages, but tools like Spirable are poised to make waves in the industry, so\nkeep an eye on them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And that about wraps it up!
