Mobile Donky wanted an animation that would provide viewers with complex information about their exciting new app while being fun and quirky – and a little bit cheesy. They wanted to show marketers how this new app can respond to their pressing needs and help them reach their targets, with the most important benefits from its use being the ability to get to know your app users and engage in two-way communication with them. To express this value in an inspiring way, we decided to create a fun story with which marketers could resonate, with the benefits of the app detailed step-by-step, in an entertaining fashion, using bold and simple motion graphics.Mobile Donky’s brand mascot was employed as the sage in the story – a quirky character with the answers to your marketing problems.


With an image of the target audience in our minds, we reconstructed the working environment of two marketing professionals who came to realise that with a more advanced app they could at last reach their sales targets and conquer their mobile strategy. These characters yearned for an app that would provide all this, and then along came Donky! Donky explained that at last you can link your app users to your CRM, engage in rich messaging, deliver customised offers and content, and more.

Donky was the existing brand mascot, and again brings the brand to life, injecting the explainer video with both humour and conviction. We decided to bring him into the board room to add to this authoritative feel, showing him to instigate positive results. A confident voiceover adds to this firm appeal. The animation has an up-beat tempo, with a range of different viewpoints and layers, including split screen and movement. We used these various engaging techniques to demonstrate the many ways that marketers could use the app to achieve their goals.
